Our Dragon Bloom Olive/Easter Eggers- multi generational hatching eggs are a true labor of love and a testament to our dedication to unique breeding. We have spent over a decade creating these beauties-- and super proud of all the folks sharing our hard work.
They stand out from other olive eggers - with heavy blooms, boasting an intense and unique bloom pattern, often accompanied by speckling from calcium deposits. Our latest generations have teal/green colorations. with unique speckling. We have added a few projects from our Dragon Bloom hens- These eggs come in a variety of colors, from blue and gray to pink and purple, and are spotted, making them a stunning addition to any egg collection. They also may change their bloom coloration and one day pinkish, next day grayish or may decide not to add the heavy bloom
Our breeding process utilizes backcrosses to maintain the stunning, heavy blooms, speckling and beautiful colors of these eggs. We did the hard work of selecting breeding. Our girls are known for their unique colorations, characterized by heavy blooms and often larger egg size.
We suggest that you separate these eggs in your incubator before they hatch, as they may resemble Black Copper Marans. It may be impossible after hatching to determine if they are Olive Eggers/EE and/or purebred. Each egg will be marked with the breed. Make sure to band your chicks at hatch or separate them in the incubator to keep them correctly. This will save you heartache and headaches later. We use hatching baskets, bags, and toe punches to ensure we don't get confused.
These are multigenerational - this means. They have a 50/50 chance of being Brown or Olive/Pink/Purple Eggs, as these are hybrids. Typically, these are very dark eggs with a bloom. To see the actual color, they often need to be marked with water. As we selectively breed, we pair our hens with a rooster to maintain a green coloration, and then backcross to blue and brown genetics.
These have been tested and proven to carry the heavy bloom into multiple generations.
